A railway accident has just occurred on the North-South railway line, passing through Thuong Tin commune (Hanoi).
According to initial information, at about 8 pm on June 7, train SE19 was traveling on the North-South railway line when it collided with a truck with license plate 30B-542.XX at Km17+400. At this time, the truck was moving from National Highway 1A, crossing the railway to enter the Nhi Khe inter-commune road.
The strong collision caused the front of the SE19 train to be heavily damaged. The truck was thrown sideways, sand on the truck fell onto the road surface and buried 4 motorbikes parked on the sidewalk near the scene.
The barrier system and some railway infrastructure equipment in the accident area were also damaged.
After the incident occurred, functional forces quickly arrived to organize rescue, overcome the scene and regulate traffic. Until about 9:30 pm on the same day, train SE19 could continue its journey. Fortunately, the accident did not cause any casualties.
Road Traffic Police Team No. 8 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police sent officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate in handling the incident.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
