Mr1 train departs from Gia Lam station at 9:20 pm and arrives at Nam Ninh station at 10:06 am the next morning. In the opposite direction, Mr. 2 train departs from Nam Ninh station at 6:05 p.m., arriving at Gia Lam station at 5:30 a.m. the next day.
Passengers complete exit and entry procedures at Dong Dang Station (Lang Son, Vietnam) and Bang Tuong Station (Western, China).

In particular, from May 27, the railway industry of the two countries will organize direct train runs from Gia Lam Station (Hanoi) to Beijing Station (China) and vice versa.
The train departs from Gia Lam Station at 9:20 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday, arriving at Beijing Western Station every Thursday and Sunday.
Passengers can buy tickets to continue to third countries at international transportation terminals in China.
In Vietnam, in addition to selling tickets to international connecting stations in China, Vietnam Railway Corporation also organizes ticket sales for domestic routes from Gia Lam station to Bac Giang, Dong Dang stations and vice versa.
Regarding ticket prices, the Hanoi - Nam Ninh route costs about 1,000,000 VND/trip; the Hanoi - Beijing route is about 9,378,000 VND/trip. Children under 4 years old are exempted from tickets; children aged 4-12 years old are discounted by 50% (each adult is accompanied by a child); groups of 6 people or more are discounted by 25%.
Vietnam Railway Corporation organizes direct international ticket sales at the stations: Hanoi, Gia Lam, Bac Giang and Dong Dang.
Currently, traveling by international train between the two countries is becoming more and more convenient and faster, with the process of completing exit and entry procedures being carried out directly at international railway stations.
Passengers traveling by train from Vietnam to Nanning (China) can easily continue their journey by high-speed train system, reaching any point in China thanks to the widespread high-speed railway network, said a representative of Vietnam Railway Corporation.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, Vietnam Railway Corporation and China Railway organized daily international passenger trains between Hanoi and Nam Ninh. The organization of international passenger train operations between Vietnam and China is carried out based on the Vietnam-China Border Railway Agreement signed in 1992.
