Lung Cung village (Nam Co commune, Lao Cai province) is located at an altitude of more than 2,000m above sea level, about 27km from the commune center. However, to get here, it takes 2 hours by motorbike through steep, winding, and dangerous slopes.
More than half of the road has not been solidified, and traveling is extremely difficult in the rainy season. For generations, people here have lived without electricity, clean water, phone signal, and roads.

Lung Cung has more than 250 households, over 1,500 people, with 6 clans (Chang, Giang, Tho, Vang, Ly, Lu) all of whom are H'Mong ethnic people living for many generations, mainly relying on agriculture.
However, due to being located at an altitude of over 2,000m above sea level, with many advantages in landscape, ecotourism, forest economy with cardamom and son tra trees not being fully utilized, this place has a lot of potential for economic development in the future.

Among them, ancient mop peach gardens worth billions of VND have become precious "savings" for people in mountainous areas during Tet.
Harsh climate, thick fog and highland soil have created a unique beauty for mop peach blossoms here. That is the pristine, ancient beauty that the lowland market is very fond of.

“Previously, there was no phone and grid signal. To connect and provide information to the commune, people had to go to the commune center and find points where they could receive phone signals to make calls. To have electricity for lighting, people had to buy mini generators to place on the streams.
This year there is a phone signal, we can call relatives far away. Everyone is happy and excited," Ms. Chang Thi May expressed.
Also thanks to the phone signal, the business of people in the village has also changed significantly. Mr. Chang A Chua (in Lung Cung village, Nam Co commune) said: "We call customers directly, take photos, record videos for everyone to watch, choose the most suitable peach branches. No longer having to work hard to go to each house to buy and transport them out to the commune center to sell like before.

Mr. Chang A Vang - Lung Cung village police officer shared that before there was no phone signal, the current affairs news, party members and people could not grasp in time. Now there is a phone network, there is signal, people like to watch and turn on their phones to watch immediately.
Having phone signals also helps the police force promote propaganda to people, especially security and order during Tet," Mr. Vang said.

Mr. Sung Thanh Cong - Chairman of Nam Co Commune People's Committee said - Thanks to the attention of the Party Committee, government and Viettel Military Telecommunications Group, from January 2026, the broadcasting station has been installed and telephone coverage to the entire Lung Cung village, creating favorable conditions for people's lives and production.
At the same time, increase information connection between local authorities and people to ensure regular communication between officials and people.
