Thai Nguyen - Prolonged heavy rain caused many places to be deeply flooded, Thai Nguyen Power Company proactively cut off electricity to about 1,000 households to prevent incidents.

Due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough combined with high-altitude wind convergence, from June 20 to 22, Thai Nguyen province experienced prolonged heavy rain, many places experienced local flooding.

The authorities of localities had to evacuate people from the danger zone and organize standby at deeply flooded areas to respond to arising situations.

In the face of rising water levels, Thai Nguyen Power Company has proactively suspended power supply in areas at risk of insecurity. The power cut is to prevent fire incidents, ensuring safety for equipment and people.

As of 10:00 p.m. on June 22, the total number of customers with temporary power outages was about 1,000. Of which, Thai Nguyen City has 814 customers, Phu Binh District has 187 customers.

On the morning of June 23, after the water receded at some points, the electricity industry organized a field inspection, assessed safety conditions and restored power supply to 681 customers at Quang Vinh 1 and Tan Long 2 substations.

Currently, there are 320 customers temporarily without power, including 133 customers in Thai Nguyen City and 187 customers in Phu Binh District.

The electricity industry is still maintaining a on-duty force, closely coordinating with localities to monitor the flood situation.

As soon as conditions permit, the work of checking, cleaning the power grid and restoring power will be carried out quickly.

Proactive power outage is a necessary solution to ensure absolute safety, minimizing risks in the context of complicated weather.
