Recently, heavy rains have occurred continuously over a large area in Bac Kan province, causing heavy damage in many localities.
According to a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Kan province, the whole province recorded 277 houses affected by landslides, flooding or damage.


Of which, Bach Thong district was the locality that suffered the most damage with 150 houses affected. Na Ri district had 59 houses flooded and landslides; Bac Kan city recorded 13 cases of houses being flooded with soil and rocks.
Other districts such as Pac Nam, Ba Be, Ngan Son, Cho Moi also recorded many households being affected.
Dozens of families were forced to evacuate to a safe place. Notably, in My Phuong commune (Ba Be), a landslide occurred, killing one person.
Regarding agricultural production damage, the whole province has about 548 hectares of rice, crops and all kinds of crops that are flooded, buried or overflowed by floods.

Many aquaculture areas were affected, hundreds of livestock and poultry were swept away by the water.
Along with that, the traffic system in the districts was also seriously affected. Many inter-commune and inner-city roads were eroded with positive slopes with a volume of nearly 7,800m3 of rock and soil.
Some bridges, drainage ditches and traffic works in Bach Thong, Na Ri, Ngan Son districts were damaged, causing temporary isolation of some residential areas.
Faced with the complicated situation of floods, local authorities have deployed and mobilized forces to support people to overcome the consequences.
At the same time, relocate residents from areas at risk of landslides, ensure safety of life and stabilize people's lives after natural disasters.
