On June 10, information from the Department of Finance of Thai Nguyen province, the whole province is currently managing 1,725 real estate facilities and offices.
Through the review, there are 75 public assets that need to be handled due to no longer needing to be used or being used inefficiently after the arrangement of administrative units.
Immediately after receiving direction from the Central Government, the Department of Finance instructed agencies and units to synthesize plans to rearrange public assets, focusing on offices that are no longer in use.

At the district level, the whole province has 116 headquarters. Of which, 72 headquarters continue to be used and handed over according to the new model, while 36 headquarters are being reviewed for handling according to regulations.
At the commune level, after the merger, the whole province still has 55 commune-level People's Committees, but continues to use 127 out of a total of 172 existing headquarters.
For the remaining 39 headquarters, priority will be given to the fields of health, education, police, and military. Thus, there are a total of 75 redundant headquarters at both levels.

Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Pham Thi Ngoc said that the headquarters of the new commune-level People's Committees will be located in central locations, convenient for travel, with infrastructure to meet operational needs.
Some other headquarters will continue to be used to serve immediate needs, the entire arrangement and handling of headquarters is expected to be completed before June 30, 2025.
For surplus assets, the province will coordinate internally or develop a handling plan, submit it to the competent authority for approval.
In particular, priority is given to converting functions to serve public purposes such as healthcare, education, libraries, cultural institutions, sports, etc.
The Department of Finance said it is coordinating with relevant agencies to continue reviewing and guiding the handling, ensuring the effective use of public assets after the restructuring of the apparatus.
