Dong Thap - The relic of the Mausoleum of Nguyen Sinh Sac in Cao Lanh Ward was ranked by the Prime Minister as a special national relic.
On September 11, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh signed Decision No. 1959/QD-TTg to rank the Nguyen Sinh Sac Tomb Relic Site as a Special National Monument (phase 18, 2025). This is an honor for the army, people, and government of Dong Thap Province, which has been steadfastly protecting, preserving, restoring, and promoting for nearly a century.
With the honor of standing on behalf of the people of the whole country and the Nguyen Sinh family to look after the tomb, incense to worship Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac (1862-1929) - a Nho family who devoted his life to the country, the people and was a direct descendant of President Ho Chi Minh - for the past 96 years, the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Thap province have continuously preserved and restored the tomb.
The relic site of the tomb of Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac, located in Cao Lanh City Ward, was started for large-scale restoration on August 22, 1975, inaugurated on February 13, 1977. On April 9, 1992, it was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) as a National Historical and Cultural Relic. On May 19, 1990, on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, Dong Thap started the construction of the model of Uncle Ho and Ao Sen stilt houses and recreated the ancient Hoa An village with an area of 22,000m2...
After many investments, the relic site now has 4 subdivisions: Tomb area, temple, house displaying the life and career of Mr. Pho Bang; Uncle Ho stilt house area and fish pond garden; House displaying the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh; Cultural space of old Hoa An village and area for organizing folk games and entertainment, with a total area of nearly 9 hectares.
The relic of the Pho Bang Tomb of Nguyen Sinh Sac is designed on the foundation of the image of lotus flowers, a typical flower species of the Dong Thap region.
