According to data from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, out of over 122,000 cases of traffic violations, the Traffic Police force and the Provincial Police have issued a fine in 2024, nearly 1/5 of the violations were fined from cameras.
To control traffic safety and order, Thanh Hoa province has installed over 150,000 surveillance cameras at key routes and intersections; in communes, wards and towns; intersections, 4 and complex traffic areas. In addition, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police also established a Command Center with a security, order and traffic safety monitoring system at Thanh Hoa City Police.
The Command Center will monitor traffic order and safety through images from cameras, the authorities can regulate, divert traffic and punish violations, creating effective deterrence, creating changes in the awareness of law compliance of traffic participants.
Thanh Hoa is the province with the highest results of traffic violation fines in the country.
Statistics from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police show that, from archival violation images, in 2024, the authorities in Thanh Hoa province issued decisions to fine nearly 30,000 cases of traffic violations and pay the State Treasury more than 43 billion VND.
