According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Civil Defense Command, in the coming days, with the "4 on-site" motto, localities and functional forces will continue to review areas at risk of unsafety, mobilize people not to be subjective, and proactively relocate to safe places when necessary.
Localities also arrange forces to put up warning signs, set up checkpoints and guide people not to pass through areas at high risk of landslides and deep flooding.

Due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone with its axis passing through the area between the North and North Central regions, combined with the convergence of upper-level winds and tropical depressions operating in the East Sea, from August 17 to now, a period of heavy rain occurred in Thanh Hoa province.
As of 4:00 PM on August 21, the whole province had 15 deeply flooded spillway locations. At these points, local authorities and road management units have set up barriers, arranged forces to guard and guide traffic to ensure safety.
On provincial road 519, there are 3 locations of small siltation and landslides with a total volume of about 100m3, but it has not caused traffic congestion.
Heavy rain also caused damage to agricultural production. According to reports from localities, the whole province had 145.5ha of rice and vegetables flooded, including 117.5ha of rice and 28ha of vegetables. In Vinh Loc commune alone, about 15ha of corn was broken and fallen.
