On July 7, the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to assess the situation of task implementation in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
According to the report at the conference, in the context of many difficulties, Thanh Hoa's socio-economy in the first 6 months of 2026 continued to maintain stability, achieving many positive results in all fields.
Notably, state budget revenue as of June 24 is estimated to reach 34,202 billion VND, equal to 66.2% of the estimate, an increase of 15.7% compared to the same period last year. This is one of the outstanding results, creating important room for the province to continue to implement development goals in the last months of the year.
Along with budget revenue results, the growth rate of total products in the province in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 7.21%. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production is developing stably; the whole province has 35 more OCOP products, raising the total number of OCOP products to 692 products.
Industrial production continued to grow quite well, with 18/19 industrial products mainly increasing compared to the same period. Trade and service activities maintained their development momentum. In 6 months, Thanh Hoa attracted 64 investment projects, including 12 FDI projects.
Planning, construction investment, resource and environmental management work continues to be strengthened. The province is focusing on removing difficulties for 147 backlog and prolonged projects; promoting the construction of a land database. The proportion of land plots ensuring the criteria "right - sufficient - clean - living" of Thanh Hoa ranks 14th in the country.
In the field of education, Thanh Hoa achieved outstanding results at the National Excellent High School Exam in the 2025-2026 school year with 86/90 students winning prizes, which is the highest achievement ever. The fields of culture, health, and social security continue to be ensured; national defense and security are maintained; traffic accidents decreased in all 3 criteria.
Besides the achieved results, the conference also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations such as the growth rate not meeting expectations; some targets on exports, total realized investment capital, and tourism revenue are still low compared to the plan; the progress of disbursing public investment capital, planning, determining land prices, site clearance, and handling public assets is still slow.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary - Mr. Le Duc Thai requested all levels and sectors to continue to carefully review tasks, properly assess results, clearly point out shortcomings and causes, especially subjective causes associated with the responsibilities of each sector and each locality.
Regarding the tasks for the last 6 months of the year, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the requirement to clearly show the political determination of the entire Party Committee and the entire political system; striving to complete at the highest level the targets for 2026, especially the GRDP growth target of 11% or more.
Mr. Le Duc Thai requested each Party committee, Party organization, agency, and unit to comprehensively review the assigned tasks; clearly identify slow tasks, existing problems and develop remedial plans according to the "6 clear" motto: Clear people, clear tasks, clear progress, clear products, clear authority, clear responsibility.
Along with that, levels and sectors must promote the "7 dare" spirit: Dare to speak, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate and create, dare to face difficulties and challenges, dare to act for the common good.
According to the Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, this spirit must be transformed by specific actions, drastic work, working to the end, creating clear changes in each field, thereby contributing to comprehensively completing socio-economic development goals, building the Party and the political system in 2026.
