On April 24, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on personnel work, transfer and appointment of leaders of some departments and branches.
At the conference, leaders of the Department of Home Affairs announced decisions to transfer and appoint officials to hold leadership and management positions.
According to Decision No. 758/QD-UBND dated April 23, 2026, Mr. Pham Duc Huan - Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions - was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
According to Decision No. 759/QD-UBND dated April 23, 2026, Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuan - Director of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center - was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
The decisions take effect from April 25, 2026, the term of appointment is 5 years.
Presenting the decision and speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Canh Toan congratulated the two officials who were trusted and assigned new tasks.
He affirmed that the cadres who are transferred and appointed all have qualifications, capacity, experience, and a high sense of responsibility, always completing assigned tasks well and excellently.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his belief that, in their new positions, officials will continue to promote their capacity and intelligence, and together with the unit's leadership collective, well implement advisory work for the Provincial People's Committee in the fields of culture, sports, tourism as well as ethnic affairs, beliefs, and religion.
At the same time, he requested the collective of officials, civil servants, and public employees of relevant agencies to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, build a clean and strong collective; create favorable conditions for new officials to quickly access work and successfully complete assigned tasks.
On behalf of the officials receiving the assignment, Mr. Pham Duc Huan - the new Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - thanked the trust of the provincial leaders, and affirmed that he will continue to strive to train and improve capacity, maintain political qualities, and work with the unit to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
