The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision on the establishment of the World Forest and Heritage Protection Center on the basis of reorganizing the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Protection Department (PN-KB National Park) under the PN-KB National Park Management Board.
The World Heritage and Forest Protection Center is a public service unit under the PN-KB National Park Management Board; under the management, leadership, and directing of the PN-KB National Park Management Board on organization, job positions, number of employees, and work.
The center has legal status, its own seal and account at the State Treasury and the Bank, operating as a public service unit, implementing a financial autonomy mechanism according to the provisions of law.
Regarding the organizational structure, the Center's leadership has a Director as the head and Deputy Directors, the number of Deputy Directors is implemented according to current legal regulations.
Regarding the departments and equivalents under the Center, reorganize the internal organizational structure of the Center from 15 stations, groups, and departments into 14 departments, teams, and forest protection stations. The number of employees of the Center when established was 129 career positions, receiving salaries from the State budget.
Mr. Pham Van Tan, Head of the Forest Protection Department of National Park PN-KB, was appointed Director of the World Forest and Heritage Protection Center.
