At the same time, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan said that Bac Ninh province will coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies to submit to the Politburo for approval the investment policy for Gia Binh airport with a scale of international airports with a standard of "5 stars", striving to be in the top 10 most beautiful and modern airports in the world.

The estimated investment cost in Bac Ninh province is about 40,300 billion VND.

To " complete the synchronization of international airports and connecting routes by 2026 at the latest" according to the Prime Minister's direction, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also proposed that the Prime Minister consider approving a number of specific policies and mechanisms to deploy the route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi capital.

Started by the Ministry of Public Security in December 2024, Gia Binh airport in Xuan Lai commune and Gia Binh town, Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province, is 125 hectares wide, expected to be completed by the end of 2025. This will be a level 3 helicopter airport, military level 3, civil level equivalent to level 3C.
According to the new planning approved by the Ministry of Construction, in the period of 2021-2030, Gia Binh International Airport will reach level 4E (according to the standards code of the International Civil Aviation Organization - ICAO), with a capacity of about one million passengers and 250,000 tons of cargo per year.
By 2050, the airport will remain at level 4E, increasing its capacity to about 3 million passengers and one million tons of cargo per year.
The airport is planned to have 363.5 hectares of land, of which construction land in the airport area is about 246 hectares, civil aviation land is 85 hectares, andunarm land is 31 hectares.
