The section from Gia Binh airport to Hanoi capital is about 22.9 km long. The section from Gia Binh airport to Kenh Vang bridge, to Hai Duong is about 8.7 km long.
The estimated investment cost in Bac Ninh province is about 40,300 billion VND.
Regarding the form and investment plan: Competent authority: Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee; Project Contract type: Construction - Transfer contract (BT contract).
Payment method to Investors: Expected to use land funds located in Bac Ninh province.
To " complete the synchronization of international airports and connecting routes by 2026 at the latest" according to the Prime Minister's direction, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also proposed that the Prime Minister consider approving a number of specific policies and mechanisms to deploy the route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi capital.
Some specific policies proposed by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province are as follows:

Based on the scale, route direction and the preliminary total investment approved by the Prime Minister as above, allowing the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to decide to apply the form of direct bidding for investors before the effective date of the PPP Law (BT contract) on July 1, 2025.
Allowing the appointment of short-term bidding packages for consulting packages, packages for technical infrastructure relocation, packages for compensation, support, and resettlement of land acquisition for BT projects and counterpart projects of BT projects in Bac Ninh province.
Started by the Ministry of Public Security in December 2024, Gia Binh airport in Xuan Lai commune and Gia Binh town, Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province, is 125 hectares wide, expected to be completed by the end of 2025. This will be a level 3 helicopter airport, military level 3, civil level equivalent to level 3C.
According to the new planning approved by the Ministry of Construction, in the period of 2021-2030, Gia Binh International Airport will reach level 4E (according to the standards code of the International Civil Aviation Organization - ICAO), with a capacity of about one million passengers and 250,000 tons of cargo per year.
By 2050, the airport will remain at level 4E, increasing its capacity to about 3 million passengers and one million tons of cargo per year.
The airport is planned to have 363.5 hectares of land, of which construction land in the airport area is about 246 hectares, civil aviation land is 85 hectares, andunarm land is 31 hectares.
