Once a vibrant music stage, gathering thousands of audiences and witnessing the sublimation of many famous artists, the stage of Trong Dong and Lan Anh now has a desolate appearance. Both famous locations have stopped operating at one time, many items are in the process of being dismantled.

Established in 1989, Trong Dong quickly became a professional music venue, leaving a deep impression on the cultural and entertainment life of the people of Ho Chi Minh City. This place used to be a launching pad for many famous artists such as Ngoc Anh, Quang Linh, Ngoc Son, Phuong Thanh, Dan Truong, Hien Thuc...
However, over time, the Trong Dong stage gradually lost its appeal. According to Lao Dong on May 16, the Trong Dong stage is still a desolate scene. Many chairs were rusted, their backs were broken, and they were exposed to the sun and rain. Green moss adheres to the chair, mixed with weeds and fallen leaves.

The appearance of a series of new, more modern and vibrant stages has made Trong Dong increasingly deserted. The old facilities, lack of investment and no longer suitable for the entertainment needs of the audience are the reasons why this stage had to stop operating.

Lan Anh stage (on Cach Mang Thang Tam street, District 10) was in the same situation. This location has been closed since early May 2025 and is in the process of being demolished. Inside the stage, the scene was littered with iron, steel, bricks and stones.

Established in 1997, Lan Anh stage was a very vibrant place, where many major music programs and live concerts of leading V-pop names such as Lam Truong, Phuong Thanh, Dan Truong, Ho Quynh Huong, My Tam, Dam Vinh Hung took place... After nearly 30 years of operation, Lan Anh stage has witnessed the rise of many generations of singers and is an indispensable part of the musical memories of Ho Chi Minh City people.

After a long period of stagnant operation, Lan Anh's stage has closed. According to the records, workers are dismantling the iron frame, sound system, lighting and other technical equipment of the stage both inside and outside.
