The Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection has just issued a notice on the evaluation results of the Gold O and Cadmium testing laboratory of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC).
According to the announcement, the testing laboratory of Tan Dai Duong Testing and Appraisal Center, Mong Cai 1 ward, Quang Ninh province was recognized as having the capacity to analyze Cadmium and Alkaline Gold.
This information was also confirmed in the Diplomatic Note dated June 17, 2026 and the email on the same day from the General Department of Customs of China related to some Vietnamese testing laboratories.
Accordingly, the testing laboratory of Tan Dai Duong Testing and Appraisal Center is 1 of 5 testing laboratories in Vietnam recognized and allowed to deploy testing for fruits exported to China.
This testing laboratory is located in the Bac Luan II bridge border gate area, Mong Cai 1 ward. This is an area with vibrant agricultural import and export activities between Vietnam and China, especially fresh fruit items.
Having more testing laboratories recognized by GACC in the Mong Cai border gate area will contribute to supporting management agencies, organizations and businesses to be more proactive in controlling the quality of agricultural products before exporting to China.
In addition to testing and inspection of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, this unit also provides traceability services, product quality consulting; disseminating regulations and policies of China related to quality supervision of exported goods.
Testing agricultural products right at the border gate area contributes to shortening time, creating favorable conditions for businesses in the process of completing technical requirements, limiting the risk of goods being returned or destroyed due to not meeting the regulations of the import market.
