New growth momentum for many regions
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 80 projects were simultaneously started and inaugurated on April 19, with a total investment of about VND 445,000 billion.
Of these, half are traffic projects, expanding development space and connecting localities. These projects are all ahead of schedule in preparation, implementation and completion, creating strong growth momentum for many regions across the country.
At the groundbreaking ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh City bridge with 6 projects, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the key socio-economic projects that were started and inaugurated are all important projects with strategic significance, creating new development space, creating a foundation to promote growth and development.
According to the Prime Minister, the commencement and inauguration of works and projects plays a great role and meaning in the provincial and internal connection; Inter -region, inter -provincial, inter -international, inter -international, promoting socio -economic development of localities in particular and of the country in general. These will be fulcrum and leverage contributing to the country to continue developing quickly and sustainably in the new era.
In 2025, it is expected that more than 1,000km of expressways will be put into operation nationwide, and ports and airports will also be completed. These are important connecting axes, not only domestically but internationally. This is a condition to contribute to growth of 8% or more this year and 10% in the following years.
Recently, the Prime Minister's working delegations have visited each locality, down to each project, especially key transport projects, to remove difficulties and obstacles, promote progress, thereby promoting economic growth.
Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh inspected a series of projects such as Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh; and together with Steering Committee 1568 to closely direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles related to the projects.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has visited Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa to promote production - business and public investment, inspected 4 projects out of more than 90 projects with problems, and is waiting to request special mechanisms according to Resolution No. 170/2024-NQ/QH15; at the same time, he visited Dong Nai to work on the implementation of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway projects.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung and the Government working delegation inspected and reviewed the construction work, removed difficulties and obstacles for the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang (Ha Tinh), Vung Ang - Bung, Bung - Van Ninh, Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway projects. These are component projects of the North - South expressway in the East.

Paving the way for growth
Hanoi is promoting the groundbreaking of three major bridge projects, including Tu Lien, Tran Hung Dao and Ngoc Hoi bridges, among the city's 12 strategic projects. The goal this year is to disburse VND87,000 billion, focusing on transport infrastructure projects. The city will also review about 200 projects that are slow to be implemented.
Similarly, Quang Ninh sets an economic growth target of over 14%, focusing on solving problems in disbursing public investment capital, especially the issue of filling materials and site clearance for key projects.
The province has published information on 14 areas for exploiting soil and rock for filling materials with a total reserve of tens of millions of cubic meters, and issued licenses to regulate excess soil and rock in construction investment projects in the area. These are important steps to help projects have enough resources to implement construction on schedule.
Meanwhile, according to Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the city is proactively removing difficulties to be able to unlock resources. It is expected that in the first two quarters of 2025, Da Nang will start a number of projects with a total investment of over VND100,000 billion.
The above efforts are expected to contribute to promoting the disbursement of public investment capital in 2025, especially for key projects, creating a foundation to expand development space, contributing to the growth of the economy.
Timely reward for good units, strict discipline for stagnant units
National Assembly delegate Hoang Van Cuong (Hanoi Delegation) emphasized that it is necessary to cut unnecessary administrative procedures to promote the progress of projects. He proposed building a clear and transparent responsibility mechanism, combining timely rewards for units that do well and strict discipline for units that are stagnant. Inspection and examination work needs to be carried out regularly and substantially, without forbidden areas.
3 important projects contribute to improving the quality of life of Dong Nai people
On April 19, Dong Nai province started construction, inaugurated and started 3 important projects on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. These projects are expected to improve the quality of life of Dong Nai people.
First, the province has started construction of CC1 Apartment Building under the Bao Vinh Ward Social Housing Project, Long Khanh City. This is a key project to concretize the policy of developing social housing, taking care of people's lives, especially low-income people and workers. Dong Nai province aims to build 10,000 social housing units in the 2021-2025 period and 50,000 units by 2030.
Next, the project to renovate and upgrade the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities to meet national standards (Trung Hoa commune, Trang Bom district) was inaugurated, with a total investment of over 152 billion VND, to improve the quality of education for ethnic minority students.
Finally, the Chua Chan Mountain Eco-tourism, Resort and Entertainment Project in Xuan Loc District has been launched, aiming to form a high-class tourist area with many rich services, expected to attract 5 million visitors by 2030, contributing to the development of local tourism.
These projects will actively contribute to economic development and improve the lives of people in Dong Nai province.
