Accordingly, the 18th Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council has just held its 30th session, passing many resolutions in the fields of economy - budget, planning - investment, finance, organizational structure and culture - society.

In particular, there is a resolution on assigning the target of signing labor contracts as teachers according to Decree 111/2022/ND-CP dated December 30, 2022 of the Government (regulations on contracts for some types of work in administrative agencies and public service units) for the 2025 - 2026 school year in the province.
At the meeting, after consideration, the Provincial People's Council decided to assign the target of signing teachers' contracts according to Decree 111 for the 2025 - 2026 school year to 3,840 people, with a contract term of 1 year (from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026).
According to the representative of the Department of Home Affairs of Thanh Hoa province, after the Provincial People's Council issued a resolution, the Provincial People's Committee will assign specific targets to each district-level unit and school to complete the signing of contracts with teachers before the time the local authorities at both levels officially come into operation (before July 1, 2025).
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, many teachers in Thanh Hoa who signed labor contracts under Decree 111/2022/ND-CP were worried when their contract terms were shortened from 12 months to 9 months (until May 31, 2025) and could not continue to sign for 3 summer months.
According to teachers, if they cannot sign a contract for 3 months in the summer, it means they do not have income and cannot fully pay insurance. They are also concerned that after the summer vacation, it is uncertain whether they can re-sign the contract at the beginning of the new school year, because the signing depends on the needs of the unit.
