On March 5, according to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, contractors are focusing on the construction of the Ke Go Lake Upgrade and Repair Project.
Many excavators, trucks, and workers were present at the construction site to simultaneously construct all items of the project.
This is a project with a total investment of 350 billion VND from the central budget, invested by the Irrigation and Construction Management Board 4.
The project includes items: Repairing and upgrading the main dam, auxiliary dams 1 and 2, Doc Mieu spillway, water sewers, management and operation houses overflooding the temple slope and behind the main dam; building new floodgates.
The project is constructed by a joint venture of Joint Stock Company 47 - Lilama10 Joint Stock Company - 465 Construction Joint Stock Company.
Talking to reporters, an investor representative said that the project has been under construction since December 2024. According to the schedule, it will be completed after 18 months of construction.
However, due to heavy rain in recent times, construction is disadvantaged. Currently, the weather has gradually improved, so contractors are focusing on simultaneous construction of items to ensure the set progress.
Ke Go Lake was built in 1976, with a capacity of 345 million m3, providing irrigation water for agricultural production in Cam Xuyen, Thach Ha districts and Ha Tinh city.
Before implementing the upgrade and repair project, Ke Go lake had many items that were degraded and damaged. That affects the operation process as well as potentially unsafe the project and causes insecurity for people in the downstream area.
