On many central roads and gateways of Ho Chi Minh City, images of people wearing warm clothes, scarves, and gloves when going out are quite common. The chilly weather accompanied by light winds makes motorbike travel at night for many people slower.

At about 10 pm, weather applications on mobile phones recorded temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City at about 21 degrees Celsius and continued to decrease to 20 degrees Celsius late at night - a rare temperature in the city.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - living in Xom Chieu ward - said that today, he had to rummage through thick jackets that had not been used for a long time. “In Ho Chi Minh City, it is rare to have such a cold weather, driving in the early morning or at night I feel the wind blowing cold clearly, feeling more comfortable than usual” - Mr. Hung said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thanh Van - Cho Quan ward - said: "It's been a long time since I've seen Ho Chi Minh City so cold. Normally, I only wear thin clothes to go out. But these days I have to bring scarves and gloves. It's cold, so I'm also afraid to go out.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the cold weather in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern provinces will continue tonight and early tomorrow morning (January 10).
