On the morning of January 10, Ho Chi Minh City continued to welcome a rare cold morning when the lowest temperature in many areas fluctuated at 18-19 degrees Celsius, with some places feeling lower. Cold air appeared from early morning, causing the daily rhythm of city residents to somewhat change.
From 5-6 am, on many central roads and gateways of Ho Chi Minh City such as Dien Bien Phu, Hanoi Highway, Pham Van Dong, Vo Van Kiet..., images of people wearing thick coats, scarves, and gloves when traveling by motorbike appeared quite common.

This morning I had to wear two more layers of clothes to dare to drive to work. It's been a long time since Ho Chi Minh City has been so cold, it feels very strange" - Ms. Nguyen Hong Hanh (Tam Binh ward) shared.

Not only people who go to work early, many small traders and freelancers also clearly feel the unusual cold. Mr. Quoc Minh - a coffee seller on Pham Van Dong street - said: "Waking up early to clear goods in the morning but my hands and feet are cold. Customers come to drink hot coffee more crowded than usual, everyone says it takes a long time to wear warm clothes in Ho Chi Minh City".

At about 6:30 am, the temperature in Ho Chi Minh City was recorded at about 18 degrees Celsius. In parks and residential areas, many people took the opportunity to go out to exercise and walk to enjoy the cool weather. In the city center area, many young people were also present early to play, eat, and enjoy the rare cold atmosphere in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Station, the area continues to be deep in the cold air mass spreading south of the northeast monsoon. The cold and dry nature covering the area brings less rain, sunny and dry weather. Above is the circulation of subtropical high pressure.
Dry weather, reduced humidity to prevent high risk of fire and explosion, some days with cold weather at night and early morning, sunny during the day will affect health.
