On May 8, Mr. Le Huyen - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to reports on investment plans for the Ma Vong roundabout intersection project - one of the major traffic "bottleneck points" in Nha Trang ward.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Development Project Management Board, the project investment aims to resolve the prolonged traffic conflict situation in the Ma Vong roundabout area.
The project also aims to improve traffic safety, increase travel capacity and limit the impact of railways on road traffic.
At the meeting, the consulting unit presented 4 investment options for comparison. Among them, option 1 was proposed by the investor to choose.
According to this plan, the project will build an underpass in the direction from 23 Thang 10 street to Yersin street, for vehicles to circulate directly through Ma Vong intersection and connect to Vo Van Ky park roundabout.
The total length of closed and open tunnels is about 575m. The total investment of the project is nearly 461 billion VND.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen basically agreed to choose option 1; requested the consulting unit to continue to complete the report, clarify the effectiveness of resolving congestion and minimize the impact on frontage works along the route.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Khanh Hoa Department of Construction to coordinate with localities to review and adjust zoning planning to ensure a basis for synchronous and sustainable project implementation; report to the Provincial People's Committee before May 20.
