Xuan Phuong Ward People's Committee, Hanoi City has just announced the site clearance for the project to expand road 70 in the area. This project was approved by Hanoi City People's Committee in March 2024. The project has a total investment of more than 3,377 billion VND.
The investment in upgrading and expanding Highway 70 is identified as an urgent requirement to complete the transport infrastructure system according to the plan, strengthen inter-regional connectivity, reduce the load on roads with high traffic density such as To Huu, Le Van Luong extended and Ring Road 3; and at the same time contribute to promoting socio-economic development, urban embellishment and improving people's lives in Xuan Phuong ward as well as neighboring areas.
The road has a total length of about 4,950m, a cross-section of 40-50m, implemented in the period 2022 - 2027. The total recovered land area is about 229.319.6m2, of which the area in Xuan Phuong ward is about 139.208.7m2, related to land of organizations, residential land of households, agricultural land and land managed by the Ward People's Committee.
Compensation, support and resettlement policies are disseminated in detail according to current regulations, including compensation for land and property; support for stabilizing life, production and business; support for training, vocational conversion and job search; resettlement support; relocation support and progress bonus for site handover for eligible cases. Legal documents and related materials have been fully handed over to households and individuals attending the conference.
Mr. Le Thanh Binh - Vice Chairman of Xuan Phuong Ward People's Committee said that this is an important project for the development of the locality. The Ward People's Committee will continue to provide complete legal documents to households. At the same time, it requested residential groups to strengthen propaganda and mobilize households to coordinate in counting and handing over land, striving to complete land clearance work according to the plan and schedule set out.
According to Lao Dong's records, on road 70 section passing through Xuan Phuong ward, many workers are pruning branches and cutting down a series of ancient acacia trees on the roadside.
According to statistics, there are 196 green trees located within the construction area of the road 70 expansion project, the section from the railway overpass to Nga bridge. Among them, 50 trees are moved, including trees such as banyan, milk flower, acacia, banyan tree... These trees have a trunk diameter of 4 - 70cm; height from the ground to the top of the main tree trunk is from 4 - 13m, growing normally.
These trees will be planted permanently at the land plot at the intersection of provincial road 70 with Thang Long Avenue. The trees will be cared for, ensuring stable growth and development for at least 12 months. Then they will be handed over to the management unit for maintenance according to decentralization.
After completing the relocation and felling of green trees, the contractor will simultaneously deploy items throughout the project.
