According to the decisions just approved by the People's Committee of Son La province at the end of April and the beginning of May 2025, many school repair projects have been launched with a total investment of up to tens of billions of VND.
Notably, the 3-storey, 39-room student dormitory maintenance and repair project at Quynh Nhai District Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities is worth noting, with a total investment of 2.5 billion VND from the provincial budget. After completion, the project will contribute to significantly improving the living and living conditions of ethnic minority students staying in the locality.
In Muong La district, another project is also being implemented with the scale of repairing a 2-storey 20-room boarding house, a 2-storey 6-room subject classroom building and many other auxiliary items. This project is in the process of selecting contractors in the form of open bidding and limited bidding, ensuring transparency and efficiency in investment management.
In Son La city, To Hieu High School also approved a project to maintain and repair schoolyards, stone embankments, fences, and floor corridors with a total investment of 1.1 billion VND. The project aims to overcome the impact of natural disasters, prevent construction deterioration and create a spacious and clean school landscape.
In addition, the Bac Yen District Continuing Education Center has also invested 1.8 billion VND to repair the functional house, kitchen, yard, water tank and fence. This is an effort of the locality in improving the conditions for lifelong learning, vocational training and continuing education for people in disadvantaged areas.
According to the People's Committee of Son La province, all projects use provincial budget capital, implemented in 2025 in the form of hiring a project management consulting unit to ensure quality and construction progress. The synchronous and focused investment in educational institutions is expected to bring a better learning environment, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education in the province.
