Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 91/CD-TTg dated June 18, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the explosion of a house at 08 - TT35, Van Phu urban area, Phu La ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi city.
The telegram was sent to the Minister of Public Security; Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
The dispatch stated: At about 5:00 p.m. on June 17, a house explosion occurred at 08 - TT35, Van Phu Urban Area, Phu La Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City, killing 2 people.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and gave the following instructions:
The Hanoi People's Committee directed the organization of thoughtful visits, timely encouragement, material and spiritual support, creating the best conditions to soon stabilize the lives of the victims' families; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to urgently investigate the cause of the explosion; strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.
Propaganda and mobilize people to strictly comply with legal regulations on the management of weapons, explosives, management and use of fireworks; proactively develop fire and explosion prevention plans in the area, especially during the current hot weather.


As reported by Lao Dong, at around 5:00 p.m. on June 18, the Hanoi Police Command Center received a report of an explosion, causing a fire at adjacent house No. 8 - TT35, Van Phu Urban Area, Ha Dong District.
As soon as the information was received, the City Police Command Information Center mobilized the City Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force and 4 fire trucks to the scene to put out the fire.
The leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the City Police also mobilized 2 command vehicles and 1 truck carrying specialized vehicles directly to the scene to coordinate with local authorities and people to organize fire fighting, rescue and relief work.
As soon as they arrived at the scene, the forces urgently deployed reconnaissance teams to fight the fire and search for victims.
At around 5:40 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.
Through the search, the authorities discovered that 2 people had died.
Initially, it was determined that the explosion originated from the 4th floor of the house (with 4 floors), suspected to be caused by firecrackers used to organize the event.
The incident is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
