Police determine the explosion in the fire that killed 2 people in Ha Dong

Hanoi - The city police initially determined that the explosion originated from the 4th floor of a 4-storey house, suspected to be caused by firecrackers used to organize an event.

Hanoi Police informed on the evening of June 17 that at 4:56 p.m. the same day, call center 114 - Hanoi Police Command Center received a report of an explosion, causing a fire at adjacent house No. 8 - TT35, Van Phu Urban Area, Ha Dong District.

As soon as the information was received, the City Police Command Information Center mobilized the City Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force and 4 fire trucks to the scene to put out the fire.

The leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the City Police also mobilized 2 command vehicles and 1 truck carrying specialized vehicles directly to the scene to coordinate with local authorities and people to organize fire fighting, rescue and relief work.

As soon as they arrived at the scene, the forces urgently deployed reconnaissance teams to fight the fire and search for victims.

At around 5:40 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.

Through the search, the authorities discovered 2 bodies and are determining their identities.

Initially, it was determined that the explosion originated from the 4th floor of the house (with 4 floors), suspected to be caused by firecrackers used to organize the event.

Currently, the City Police Director has directed units to urgently investigate and clarify the identities of the two victims and the cause of the fire. At the same time, coordinate with functional agencies and local authorities to organize to overcome the consequences.
