Started in March 2025, the Cho Moi - Bac Kan Expressway Project is nearly 29km long. The project has a total investment of more than 5,750 billion VND, designed with a scale of 4 lanes, speed of 80km/h.
The Cho Moi - Bac Kan expressway passes through Thanh Thinh, Thanh Mai communes and Bac Kan ward, Thai Nguyen province with a total of 1,624 households and organizations affected.

PV recorded that after a long period of construction, a highway stretching across hills and mountains has gradually emerged.
At the large construction site, hundreds of workers and machinery and equipment are mobilized to implement the project. A large amount of excavated soil is transported from high positions to low-lying areas.
In addition to the roadbed item, bridges and culverts, and resettlement areas serving the project are also being synchronously constructed.
According to the construction unit, on the entire route, dozens of construction fronts are stretched to deploy the project. Currently, contractors have mobilized over 600 personnel, more than 400 machines and equipment, deploying 42 construction fronts. The realized value reaches over 21.8% of the contract.

Up to now, site clearance work in Bac Kan ward and Thanh Mai commune has been basically completed.
In Thanh Thinh commune, the locality with the largest length of the route passing through with about 12.5km, affecting 773 households in 12 villages.
As of May 12, 753 households have received compensation and support money; the area handed over to the investor reached more than 104ha.
For households still facing difficulties, Thanh Thinh Commune People's Committee is coordinating with the Branch of the Land Fund Development Center Region VI to continue propaganda and dialogue. At the same time, develop a temporary housing support plan for households that need to relocate.
For households that need to arrange temporary accommodation and relocate old houses, the locality will mobilize forces to support the dismantling, transportation of houses and leveling ground.

Regarding the project, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Nong Quang Nhat requested relevant departments, branches, and localities to continue to closely coordinate, focus on removing difficulties, and accelerate the progress of compensation, support, and resettlement.
Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee emphasized the need to strengthen propaganda, mobilization, and promptly resolve legitimate petitions of the people. Strive to complete the handover of the entire route before June 15 according to the plan.
When completed, the Cho Moi - Bac Kan expressway will contribute to synchronizing transport infrastructure, shortening travel time to northern Thai Nguyen localities. At the same time, expanding development space, attracting investment, and promoting local socio-economic development.
