On May 16, Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that in the period 2021 - 2030, the province is expected to deploy 5 strategic expressways to promote socio-economic development, expand development space and strengthen regional linkages.
In which, the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway (CT. 24) is about 117.5km long, the section through Dak Lak is 84.8km long with a scale of 4 lanes, currently under construction and is expected to be thông tuyến in 2026.
The Pleiku - Buon Ma Thuot expressway (CT. 02) belongs to the North - South expressway in the West, connecting Pleiku - Buon Ma Thuot - Gia Nghia, which is being studied for deployment before 2030. The Government Office has just proposed that 3 related provinces study plans to implement this expressway.
In addition, the North-South Expressway in the East (CT. 01), Phu Yen - Dak Lak (CT. 23) and Lien Khuong - Buon Ma Thuot (CT. 26) are also being studied for deployment before 2030. The Phu Yen - Dak Lak route is proposed to be invested in PPP form to save costs.
According to leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, the formation of a synchronous expressway network will help the locality shorten the connection time with seaports, airports, logistics centers and dynamic economic regions.
At the same time, creating conditions to attract investment in processing industry, high-tech agriculture, tourism and services.
The expressway system is also expected to contribute to improving transport capacity, reducing logistics costs, promoting agricultural product consumption and expanding markets for local businesses.
