On September 11, the working delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MARD) had a working session with the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province on the implementation of projects invested by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in the area.
From the capital of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tuyen Quang province is implementing many irrigation projects with a total investment of more than 466 billion VND. The goal of the projects will be to supply domestic water, production, and aquaculture for thousands of households.
In which, the Irrigation Works Complex project in Lien Hiep, Bang Hanh, Tan Trinh, Xuan Giang communes with a total investment of 270.5 billion VND, supplying water to 485 hectares of agricultural land, 17 hectares of aquaculture and creating a domestic water source for 3,000 people.
Construction items have completed volumes from about 50% to over 85%. Some problems in site clearance and unfavorable weather have affected the construction progress.
The irrigation system project for sloping land in the former Bac Quang and Quang Binh districts with a total investment of 95 billion VND. The goal is to ensure stable irrigation water sources for about 310 hectares of orange growing areas.
To date, the construction items of this project have been completed but have not been accepted and put into use due to obstacles in connection procedures and handover of power lines.
At the Project to build water supply and storage works in the old rocky mountainous highlands of Ha Giang province (now the northern highland communes of Tuyen Quang province), with a total investment of 101.661 billion VND.
The goal of this project is to supply domestic water to about 2,213 households, and at the same time supplement water sources for schools, service and tourism areas in the Meo Vac and Dong Van areas.
The construction progress of the entire project currently reaches 54.49% of the contract value. Some completed projects have been temporarily handed over to local authorities for management and operation, serving the domestic water needs of people in the dry season.
According to the assessment of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, the main difficulty when implementing projects is identified as slow site clearance. Some locations and design coordinates are not suitable for actual conditions and must be adjusted.
To make the project most effective, Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee requests that at completed projects, it is necessary to urgently complete the acceptance and handover procedures to soon put them into operation and use, especially to serve production and people's lives.
Communes where the project is implemented are required to proactively coordinate closely with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, focus on removing and definitively resolving difficulties and obstacles, and accelerating construction progress.
