According to the Hanoi City People's Committee Electronic Information Portal, on the afternoon of August 1st, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Dai Thang inspected the progress of the Dang Thai Mai road construction project; Ngoc Trai Theater and thematic cultural and artistic park project in Tay Ho ward.
Dang Thai Mai road construction project is about to be completed
Regarding the Ngoc Trai Theater and thematic cultural and artistic park project, phase 1 has 131 cases requiring site clearance. To date, 56 cases have had compensation plans approved before July 2026, completing the recovery of about 8.1ha and handing over the site to the investor; 70 cases have had plans approved in July 2026, expected to complete land recovery and hand over an additional 1.6ha in August 2026. This phase has 39 cases under resettlement.
Phase 2, the project has 260 cases where land must be recovered, including 252 households and 8 cases of public land. To date, functional agencies have completed the investigation of all 260 cases, approved 19 plans, and recovered land from 13 cases. The remaining cases are being confirmed for land origin, publicized and approved plans in August 2026, and land recovery is expected to be completed in September 2026. This phase has 150 cases arranged for resettlement.
Up to now, the majority of households subject to site clearance agree with the project. However, some households still propose to increase the level of compensation and support and propose to be arranged for resettlement with land.
Tay Ho Ward People's Committee proposed that the City People's Committee consider applying the provisions of Clause 2, Article 19 of Decision No. 40/2026/QD-UBND to support construction works on land formed before July 1, 2014. At the same time, it proposed that the city approve the arrangement of resettlement land in Thu Lam commune for 189 cases.
Regarding the Dang Thai Mai road construction project, phase 1 has completed site clearance and construction progress is being accelerated, striving to complete the entire project in September 2026.
According to the report of Tay Ho Ward People's Committee, as of May 25, 2026, the project has completed the approval of compensation, support, and resettlement plans for 184/184 cases, recovering the entire land area, with a total compensation and support cost of 338.583 billion VND.
The project will be implemented from May 2025.
Contractors are focusing on sidewalk construction, traffic connection, and completion of technical infrastructure. According to the plan, the route sections will be completed from August 5-20, the entire route will be renovated in August and the greenery and landscape will be completed in September, towards celebrating the Capital Liberation Day 10. 10.
Strengthen dialogue, propaganda, and mobilization when site clearance
Recalling that these are projects of particular importance to the development of the West Lake area as well as the city, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested departments, branches, Tay Ho Ward People's Committee and construction units to continue to focus highly to complete the items according to the set schedule.
Regarding site clearance work, Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Dai Thang requested Tay Ho Ward People's Committee to continue to review all remaining cases, accelerate the confirmation of land origin, publicize and approve compensation, support, and resettlement plans in accordance with the law.
The implementation process must strengthen dialogue, propaganda, and mobilization to create consensus among the people, ensure publicity, transparency, correct policy, and harmony of interests between the State and the people.
Regarding construction work, it is required that the investor and contractors mobilize maximum manpower, machinery, and equipment, organize scientific construction in a rolling manner, and urgently construct as soon as there is land available.
At the same time, it is necessary to especially value the quality of the project, absolutely not to run after the progress and affect the quality, aesthetics and lifespan of the project.
In addition, it is required to ensure environmental sanitation, traffic safety and urban order throughout the construction process, not allowing it to affect people's lives and travel.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee also requested departments and branches to promote the spirit of accompanying grassroots levels, proactively guide and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles arising in the project implementation process.
Issues beyond authority must be summarized and promptly reported to the City People's Committee for consideration and resolution without affecting the progress of projects.
