According to Toan Luu Commune Police, on the morning of November 10, during patrolling and controlling the area, the unit's working group discovered in Xuan Son village fields a signal transmitter, a battery, and about 100m of dark blue caught caught in bamboo stakes and 11 reptiles of prey, which were tools used to illegally trap and catch wild birds.
Immediately afterwards, Toan Luu Commune Police dismantled, seized and destroyed all of the above tools.
On the same afternoon, Duc Quang Commune Police presided over and coordinated with Duc Tho Forest Protection Department to patrol, detect and seize about 2,200m2 of nets used to catch wild birds. Currently, Duc Tho Forest Protection Department is preparing a file to handle according to regulations.
A few days earlier, Cam Binh Commune Police discovered and seized a signal transmitter containing 2 speakers, 1 battery, 300m of dark blue nets tied to iron stakes, which were tools used to trap and illegally catch wild birds.
The above activities demonstrate the drastic participation of the grassroots police force in ecological environmental protection, contributing to preventing and ending the illegal hunting and destruction of wild birds in the area.
In the past few months, since the start of the migratory bird season (around September), functional forces and police of communes and wards in Ha Tinh have deployed forces to patrol, detect, prevent, and handle wild bird trapping and trade.
According to the Ha Tinh Forest Protection Department, from the beginning of 2025 to now, functional forces and local authorities in Ha Tinh have organized more than 1,300 propaganda sessions; conducted nearly 400 inspections of trapping and catching migratory birds and wild birds.
Thereby, nearly 70,000 vehicles and trapping tools were discovered, dismantled and destroyed; more than 400 Predictors and trapped birds were released back into the natural environment.
Currently, the authorities continue to strengthen inspection, prevention, and strict handling of wild bird trapping.
