Breaking the search for victims
On November 19, the People's Committee of Hung Son commune said that this morning, when the authorities arrived at the scene to continue searching for the missing victim, a loud explosion suddenly rang out from the old landslide area. Immediately after that, rocks and soil continued to slide down strongly, and rescue forces had to urgently withdraw from the dangerous area to ensure safety.

Previously, at around 2:00 p.m. yesterday, a loud explosion also occurred on the mountain opposite the landslide site, shaking the entire area. Immediately after the explosion, local authorities urgently evacuated 9 households with 40 people of the two villages of ating and arooi from the danger zone, arranging them to Gari Primary School and the People's Committee of the old commune of Gari to ensure absolute safety.
Two consecutive explosions in less than 24 hours showed that the geological foundation of the area was very weak, the risk of landslides continued, especially in the conditions of prolonged heavy rain, waterlogged rocks and soil and loss of connection.
Currently, the authorities are on duty to closely monitor and re-evaluate the safety level of the area, while taking advantage of every favorable time to continue the search for missing victims.
Another dangerous crack appears
Meanwhile, on the evening of November 18, Hung Son Commune Police also informed about the continued situation of subsidence and the emergence of new, more serious cracks, directly threatening the safety of officers, soldiers and property.

Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 12 and prolonged heavy rain, cracks and subsidence occurred behind the two offices of Hung Son Commune Police.
As soon as the incident occurred, Hung Son Commune Police promptly reported to the Director of Da Nang City Police (CATP). To have a timely handling plan and arrange a new workplace, the Director of CATP has directed the PH10 Department to inspect, survey and evaluate in detail the status of the two offices of the Commune Police.
At the same time, Hung Son Commune Police were directed to urgently evacuate all officers, soldiers (CBCS), equipment, machinery and assets from the second facility to ensure the safety of people and property as soon as possible.

On November 10, Department PH10 had an official working session with the Commune Police and the People's Committee of Hung Son Commune to assess the actual situation.
Recorded by Department PH10: The representative of Department PH10 clearly recorded the subsidence and confirmed that the project was no longer safe. At the same time, the PH10 Department has requested the People's Committee of Hung Son Commune to promptly plan land to build a new headquarters in order to help the Commune Police soon stabilize their workplace, feel secure in performing well the work of ensuring National Security (ANQG) and Social Order and Safety (TTATXH) in the commune.
However, the situation has gotten much worse after 3 consecutive days of heavy rain (from November 15 to November 17). Some new cracks have appeared, along with more serious subsidence at this facility, along with the headquarters also showing signs of leaning slightly back.
Hung Son commune police quickly stretched warning ropes and blocked off dangerous areas, not allowing people to pass to ensure absolute safety.
