Earth Hour is a global environmental protection campaign launched by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2007 in Sydney (Australia). In Vietnam, the campaign was chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade since 2009, contributing to raising public awareness of climate change, saving energy and sustainable development.
In 2025, the campaign is organized with the message "Green transition - Green future", associated with a series of communication and response activities across the country such as the "All people save energy" race, online competitions, electricity-saving propagandist competitions, press awards and many programs to spread awareness of effective energy use.
After 17 years of implementation, Earth Hour has become a strong movement, attracting the participation of millions of Vietnamese people, affirming its commitment to action for the environment, for a green future.
