Electricity saving contributes to ensuring growth

With that effort, with the join hands of the entire political system, the business community and the people, the national target program on the use of economical and efficient energy in the 2016-2020 period has helped the whole country save about 5.65% of total energy consumption, equivalent to billions of KWH electricity. For energy -saving movement, the annual annual energy -saving yield increases: from 1.5% in 2015 to over 2% from 2020 to the present.

In 2025, the national electricity system will continue to face great pressures when the economy is expected to grow over 8% and the demand for electricity can increase from 12 to 13%, even higher. In the context that the supply is still limited, energy saving is not only a choice, but an urgent order to ensure stable development for the country as well as realize a strong commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Mr. Dang Hai Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation Innovation, Green Conversion and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - emphasized: "Electricity saving is not only the responsibility of the electricity industry or state management agencies, but a common task of the whole society, from each family, each business to organizations and community".

The 2025 energy -saving propaganda contest was held in the form of stage. Accordingly, the exam subjects can create content with a variety of video clips with a length of 5-10 minutes, conveying the purpose of the competition. The entries will be assessed through many rounds by the prestigious jury, including leading experts in the field of energy, media and cinema theater. The evaluation process is done in a transparent, objective and fair manner, based on criteria such as creativity and unique; exact science; aesthetics and form; Communication efficiency and practical application.

Also on this occasion, the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched a publication of electricity saving handbook in 2025. The publication consists of two books: the power saving handbook in the family and the power saving handbook in the office - industry - the building.

The electricity saving handbook in the family is divided into three main parts corresponding to the areas using electrical equipment in the household, including: kitchen appliances; Living room equipment; Other equipment. With full information, practical content, beautiful design, electricity saving handbook in the family will provide households with many useful solutions when choosing and using essential electrical equipment, from TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, lights to water pumps, presses, coffee machines ...

Besides, the handbook will give instructions on electrical safety such as: How to install electrical equipment properly? How to handle electrical safety when it rains, flooded? Or are absolutely not done when using electricity?

Handbook of saving electricity in office - industry - buildings for subjects are buildings, businesses, companies, offices. The handbook provides many solutions to save electricity in control systems, offices, industry and buildings. Notably, these solutions can be easily applied, from adjusting the workplace light, installing the appropriate temperature to the use of materials and equipment to save energy.
