On July 31, the government of Bao Lam 1 commune (Lam Dong province) coordinated with relevant agencies to destroy 8 more sows ( breeding sows).
The total weight of the pigs is more than 2,400 kg, belonging to the African swine fever outbreak (village 5, Bao Lam 1 commune).

The work of destroying infected pigs is carried out by local authorities and functional agencies through digging up burial pits.
These agencies also strictly comply with regulations on disease prevention. This includes spraying lime powder, spraying disinfectants and disinfecting both the destroyed area and related areas.

According to the authorities, after 8 days since the outbreak of African swine fever in Mr. Ng.V.Th's household, the total number of pigs in his family infected with the disease and forced to be destroyed in 3 batches is out of a total of 240 pigs; the total weight of the destroyed pigs reached 7,520kg.
Although the infected pigs caused great economic losses, Mr. Th's family always closely coordinated with local authorities and functional agencies, strictly complying with regulations on disease prevention.
The number of sick pigs that need to be destroyed is controlled and fully counted by local authorities. This will be the basis for reporting and proposing to support a part of the cost according to regulations for Mr. Th's family to overcome the consequences and minimize the damage caused by the epidemic.
For the remaining pigs, local authorities and authorities coordinate with Mr. Th's family to closely monitor and ensure compliance with disease prevention regulations.

To date, the commune has not recorded a new outbreak. However, disease prevention such as vaccination, disinfection, and disinfection are being regularly deployed by local authorities in coordination with Bao Loc Agricultural Technical Station to surround and control outbreaks.
Bao Loc Agricultural Technical Station said that it has coordinated with localities to inject 2,700 doses of vaccine (serious left, anti-wered, anti-zester) to pigs in Bao Lam 1, 2 and 3 communes, and sprayed widely to prevent and disinfect the epidemic effectively.
Localities are also actively propagating and instructing people, livestock farming households and slaughterhouses to comply with the 5-no principle, along with proactively disinfecting barns and high-risk areas.
