On September 3, according to the notice of the People's Committee of Chieng Sinh commune, a newborn baby girl about 22 days old was found abandoned in a handbag in the landslide area of Che Phai I village, Chieng Sinh commune.
Local authorities are announcing the search for the baby's biological father, mother and relatives.
According to the Commune People's Committee, at about 5:20 am on August 29, Ms. Luong Thi La and Ms. Lo Thi Hoa, both residing in Che Phai I village, discovered a newborn baby girl in the landslide area, near Ta Con gas station, while on their way to Tuan Giao commune.
The baby was placed in a nylon bag with brocade stripes, zippers and two handles, next to it was a letter. The baby weighed about 4kg, was determined to be about 22 days old, wearing thin yellow clothes and a hat of the same color.
After receiving the information, the Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Commune Police and the Health Station to check the health and make a record of the incident. The results showed that the baby's health was stable and normal.
Currently, she is being temporarily cared for and nurtured by Ms. Luong Thi La (born 1989, residing in Che Phai I village).
Chieng Sinh Commune People's Committee requests the child's biological father, mother or relative to come to the Commune People's Committee headquarters to carry out procedures to receive the child and grandchild before September 4, 2026.
After the above deadline, if no one comes to claim it, the local government will carry out birth registration and related legal procedures for the child according to regulations.
