On March 16, Nam Gianh Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that it had just announced the search for the biological father and mother of a newborn baby who was abandoned and discovered by people in the area.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Thai Tam and Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha (residing in Vinh Phuoc village, Nam Gianh commune) while returning from work discovered a newborn baby boy left by the roadside.
Specifically, when passing through the civil underpass section of the North-South expressway through Vinh Phuoc village, the two people discovered a baby boy lying in a red plastic basket, placed under the underpass. After that, Mr. Tam and Mrs. Ha took the baby home for temporary care and reported the incident to the Nam Gianh Commune People's Committee and the Commune Police.
After receiving the information, Nam Gianh Commune People's Committee and Commune Police sent officials to coordinate with the village leadership to make a record of the incident.
According to initial information, the child is male, weighs about 3.3kg, estimated from 3-5 days old. The baby's health condition is stable, no injuries were found on the body.
Accompanying items included a box of milk powder, a bottle of milk, a small light yellow blanket and some clothes, diapers and baby diapers.
Nam Gianh Commune People's Committee announced that if anyone is the child's biological father, mother or relative, please contact Nam Gianh Commune People's Committee to carry out procedures to recognize the child according to regulations.
In case after 7 days from the date of issuance of the notice, no one comes to receive it, Nam Gianh Commune People's Committee will proceed with birth registration and carry out relevant procedures for the child according to the provisions of law.
