At about 3:30 pm on February 17, at Ca Giang dike in hamlet 4, Hong Son commune, Lam Dong province, a drowning incident occurred, causing 2 people to go missing.
According to initial information, Mr. N.Q. K, along with Mr. N.H. A and H.H. Q. B (both born in 2009) came to the dike area to play. After that, all 3 went down to bathe.
Suddenly, Mr. A and Mr. B drowned. Mr. K tried to swim ashore and shouted for help from people. When people arrived, the two victims had already sunk and went missing.
Upon receiving the news, Hong Son Commune Police were present at the scene, deployed life jackets, and organized a search for the victims.
Local people also supported by using fishing nets to search the area suspected of having people in distress.
Until about 8:30 pm on the same day, functional forces had not yet found the two missing people. Ca Giang dyke has a large area, the water capacity is currently at a high level and has a large depth.
The darkness made the search work difficult. Many people gathered in the dike area to follow the search process.
Currently, functional forces are still continuing to deploy a plan to search for the victims.
