Previously, at about 3:50 pm on the same day, functional forces received a report about a drowning incident that occurred in residential group 8 Cu Ebur, Buon Ma Thuot ward. Immediately after that, rescue forces were mobilized to the scene to organize searches.

At about 4:40 pm, the body of N.H. N (14 years old), a student of Ham Nghi Secondary School, was found.
According to a report from Ham Nghi Secondary School, at the beginning of the afternoon class of the same day, class 8A3 had 10 absent students. Among them, 2 students asked for permission. The homeroom teacher informed the class's parents of this situation.
Among the students who were absent from school without permission, there were 4 children, including N.H. N, who invited each other to the irrigation water reservoir area in residential group 8 Cu Ebur to play.
Here, N.H. N unfortunately slipped and fell into the lake. Although her friends tried to support her, it was unsuccessful.
