On the morning of May 5, Mr. Ngo Van Du - Vice Chairman of Thuan An Ward People's Committee (Hue City) said that the body of the victim who went missing after jumping into the Thuan An estuary area has been found.
According to Mr. Du, at about 5 am on the same day, the victim's body was discovered about 50m away from the scene of the incident towards the embankment. Currently, functional units are completing procedures to hand over to the family for funeral arrangements.
Previously, on May 4, functional forces and rescue teams organized searches but there were no results. By the evening of the same day, due to heavy rain and big waves, the search work encountered many difficulties.
Initial information, at about 5:45 pm on May 3, at the Thuan An estuary overpass, a man climbed over the railing and jumped into the water.
At the scene, functional forces discovered a Sirius motorbike with license plate 75E1-028. xx black-red color, along with a pair of shoes and a pair of trousers left on the bridge.
Through verification, the victim is Mr. L.T. (about 47 years old), without stable jobs, recently living with his younger sister in Tan Thanh village, Phong Quang ward.
