On November 5, the authorities found the body of a man who jumped into the Saigon River on the section passing Thanh Da peninsula (Binh Quoi ward), after two days of being missing. The victim was identified as the technology taxi driver who left the car on the Saigon bridge at noon on November 3.
According to records, some people were riding a boat on the Saigon River, passing through Thanh Da Peninsula, Binh Quoi Ward, when they discovered a body floating in the middle of the river. People immediately pulled the body to shore and reported the incident to the authorities.
Binh Quoi Ward Police quickly arrived at the scene to record the incident. The victim was a male, wearing only one pants.
Initially, the authorities identified the body as Mr. P.H.H. (43 years old, living in Hung Long commune). Mr. H. was the one who left the taxi on Saigon Bridge, causing injuries in the neck area and then jumped into the river at noon on November 3.
Mr. H.'s family members also arrived at the scene to identify and serve the investigation.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by Ho Chi Minh City Police.
