Some wait to buy 2 taels, some "rive to sell"
Recorded by Lao Dong reporter at 9:53 a.m. today (November 3), the price of plain round gold rings and domestic gold bars "cooled down". At a gold shop on Cau Giay Street, Hanoi, not afraid of cold rain, buyers take turns waiting for transactions, sellers "over" to make a profit.
Informing reporters, the store security guard said: "This morning, people didn't have to wait in line, there were 60 buyers so I could just go in and buy. Each person was given 2 taels of gold".
However, the store security guard added an update, every 6 days, customers can continue to make transactions.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu (Cau Giay, Hanoi) bought 2 taels of gold and shared: "Some people have not been able to buy them for 5 days, I just went to buy them today so I can get the maximum 2 taels of gold".
Similarly, Mr. Vu Cong Luan (My Dinh, Hanoi) after a short wait, the 2 taels of gold were in his pocket. Mr. Luan said: "Compared to the days before, when I had to wait and crow, now I can buy right away. Just sit in line in the store one by one, partly because of the cold rain and the fluctuating gold price, so people buy less".
"The house is about to have a party, so I bought it to celebrate, luckily today the shop did not issue a number and lined up so the transaction was quick" - Mr. Luan added.
Some people accept to enter the store and then turn their cars back because they limit the number of days to buy back and the amount of gold sold.
Besides the stores waiting to buy, there are many people who have decided to sell to make a profit. Mr. Nguyen Viet Hoang (Chuong My ward, Hanoi) traveled nearly 30km to the store to sell.
"I bought here so I had to go to this address to sell, at the time of buying it was priced at 10.8 million VND/tael, now the price is fluctuating around 14.6-14.8 million VND/tael, making a profit of nearly 4 million VND/tael, so I took a profit" - Mr. Hoang said.
Gold price update
As of 11:00 on November 3, the price of SJC gold bars was listed at 146.6-148.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell), all increasing by 200,000 VND/tael in both directions.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of SJC gold bars at 147.1-148.6 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out), an increase of 200,000 VND/tael.
At the same time of the survey, SJC listed the price of plain round gold rings at 143.3-145.8 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out), down 300,000 VND/tael in both directions.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 146.6-149.6 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out).
In the world market, as of 11:00 a.m. on November 3 (Vietnam time), world gold prices recovered rapidly, listed around 4,010.7 USD/ounce, up 9.6 USD.
