People fall when a pothole falls on Nguyen Khoai street
A large pothole appeared in the curve on Nguyen Khoai street (section near Vinh Hung street, Vinh Hung ward).
Functional agencies have spread gravel and temporarily leveled it. However, the road surface is still rough, with many small rocks and gravel. At the curve section, vehicles moving through this area, if they have to brake sharply on the loose gravel layer, there is a risk of slipping and falling.
Some residents living in the area said that since the pothole appeared, there have been cases of motorcyclists falling, especially on rainy days when the road surface is slippery.
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dam Quang Bao - Director of the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board (Hanoi Department of Construction) - said that the unit has grasped the information and implemented temporary remedial measures.
Due to the weather being stormy, it is not possible to completely handle it with hot asphalt concrete. In the immediate future, we will organize temporary leveling to ensure traffic flow. As soon as the weather clears, the unit will complete the construction and handle it completely," Mr. Bao said.
