According to initial information, in the early morning of December 6, the passenger car with license plate 50H-40XXX was driven by Pham Cong Hien (born in 1979, from Quang Ngai); the truck with license plate 89C-20XXX was driven by Chu Van Son (born in 1990, residing in Ninh Binh) and the tractor-trailer 77C-17XXX towing a trailer 77R-03XXX was driven by driver Le Duy Hong (born in 1970, residing in Gia Lai).
All 3 cars were traveling in the same direction on the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway in the direction from Nha Trang to Van Phong when the collision occurred.
After the series of collisions, the passenger bus and truck quickly caught fire and were completely burned down. The front of the tractor-trailer also caught fire in a short time.

Fortunately, there were no casualties; all three drivers and passengers on the bus escaped safely.
The fire caused prolonged traffic congestion on the highway. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Khanh Hoa Province Police urgently dispatched 2 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene, extinguished the fire and supported in overcoming the consequences.
The case is being investigated by Nam Ninh Hoa Commune Police in coordination with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police to clarify the cause.
