According to the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee, many units in the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV), in different production fields, have implemented the development of the image of "Miner - Soldier" associated with practical activities, from production labor to professional work.
Miners are honored and rewarded every month, quarter and year, contributing to creating strong motivation for the team of cadres, workers and laborers in the entire Group.
In the past 3 years, the entire Party Committee has built 12,032 typical images, creating motivation to promote the movement "Good workers, high income" and technical innovation movements.
Today's workers are proficient in operating hydraulic grids, advanced coal "steam" equipment and many modern mechanical machines. Many miners earn over 300 million VND/year, of which many people are awarded the Medal of bravery or the Labor Hero award in the renovation period.
The construction and replication of labor models associated with the image of "Miner - Soldier" has become a driving force for the whole industry, from improving productivity, ensuring labor safety to innovating technology and managing production.
The movement not only recognizes dedicated workers but also motivates productivity improvement, technical improvement and sustainable development of the coal industry in the context of innovation and modernization.
The average annual output of raw coal is 42 million tons, of which Quang Ninh province accounts for more than 40 million tons.
In the past 3 years (2021-2024), the total raw coal output of the Group reached 110.08 million tons, an increase of 17.96% over the previous term. Coal consumption reached 130.96 million tons, up 28.7% over the previous period. The total revenue of the Group reached VND 401,771 billion, an average increase of 16.4%/year, exceeding the set target. The average income of workers has also continuously increased, from 14.5 million VND/person/month in 2021 to 17.95 million VND/person/month in 2024.
TKV's development strategy emphasizes the simultaneous implementation of "3-ization" (mechanization - automation - informatics). This is an important factor to improve productivity, improve working conditions and develop a team of miners to meet new requirements. In response to that requirement, miners not only need health and experience, but also must be proficient in technology, control modern equipment, process production data, and operate automatic systems.
The image of "Miner - Soldier" has truly become a vivid symbol of the Coal industry. From underground production to mechanical, automation and informatics projects, each individual contributes to the Group's sustainable development strategy. In the new development stage, TKV continues to identify building the "Miner - Soldier" team as a key task.
