On March 4, news from the Election Commission of Khanh Hoa province said that there has been an announcement about the time for early elections at some electoral units in the Truong Sa Special Zone and the 5th Naval Special Forces Brigade. This is to ensure the actual conditions and rights of voters who are working and performing tasks in special areas.
Accordingly, the polling station No. 4 (at the 5th Naval Special Forces Brigade), belonging to Dong Hai ward, will hold early elections on March 5.
For electoral units belonging to the Truong Sa Special Zone, there are 20 polling stations on islands allowed to hold early elections on March 8.
Voting area No. 14 (in the Truong Sa island hall) and voting area No. 01 (in the 146th Brigade hall) will organize voting according to the national election date that has been set as March 15.
The organization of early elections in special areas aims to create favorable conditions for officers, soldiers and people on duty on islands and military units to fulfill their rights and obligations as citizens, while ensuring safety and in accordance with legal regulations.
Directing the election work, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels of the province - requested localities to continue to review, update, and adjust voter lists, ensuring that no cases of eligibility for voting are missed.
Election teams need to regularly notify voters to clearly understand the time and location of voting; organize the opening ceremony on time, according to rituals, solemnly, and economically. Party committees at all levels launch emulation movements, mobilize voters to actively participate, and strive to achieve a rate of 100% of voters going to vote.
In addition, election teams must strictly implement the process of issuing ballots, counting votes, making records, sealing ballot boxes and reporting results on time according to the provisions of law, ensuring that the election takes place democratically, in accordance with the law, and safely.
