During this time, the Red River area passing through Hong Ha ward became bustling as the Tran Hung Dao bridge project was being accelerated by contractors.
At the construction site, a series of barges, cranes, pile boring machines and many heavy equipment are operating continuously.

According to records, construction units are organizing 3 shifts, 4 crews to speed up the progress of items under the riverbed. The sound of machinery echoes continuously, the urgent construction atmosphere lasts from early morning to late at night.
Representatives of the investor said that as of the beginning of May 2026, the drilled piles for the main bridge have been completed about 89% of the volume. Meanwhile, the platform and pier body have reached more than 37% of the construction volume.

Along with construction activities, site clearance work on streets such as Bach Dang and Van Kiep is also being implemented drastically. Many households are proactively dismantling works and relocating assets to hand over land for the project.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (resident in Hong Ha ward) said that recently, the project implementation progress has been very fast.
I see units working continuously day and night. Site clearance is also deployed methodically, people are specifically guided, so most people agree," Mr. Hoa shared.

Meanwhile, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy, living near the project area, assessed that the construction is being carried out quite effectively. According to her, although the initial relocation process disrupted life, people all expect the completed bridge to help traffic become more convenient.
Chuong Duong bridge is currently frequently congested, especially during peak hours. People hope that the Tran Hung Dao bridge project will be completed on schedule soon to make travel more convenient," Mr. Vu Quoc Khanh (resident in Hong Ha ward) expressed his hope.
It is known that Tran Hung Dao bridge was started in October 2025 with a total length of about 4.18 km. The starting point of the project is located at the intersection of Tran Hung Dao - Tran Thanh Tong - Le Thanh Tong, the ending point connects to Nguyen Son street in Long Bien district.
The project has a total investment of about 16,000 billion VND, expected to become a new symbolic bridge across the Red River, contributing to reducing the load on Chuong Duong bridge and Vinh Tuy bridge, which are often overloaded.

According to the plan, Hong Ha ward (the locality with the largest land area to be recovered for the project) is striving to complete the handover of land this week to ensure the overall progress of the project.
Previously, on April 14, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang also inspected the site clearance, temporary accommodation arrangement and progress of two key projects, Tran Hung Dao bridge and Tu Lien bridge. The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that all tasks be closely monitored to ensure that Tran Hung Dao and Tu Lien bridges are put into operation in the second quarter of 2027.
