Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City students have 11 consecutive days off for the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo, from February 12, 2026 (Tet) to the end of February 22, 2026 (the 6th day of Tet).

On December 26, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training regarding the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday schedule of the city's Education and Training sector.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved the proposal of the Department of Education and Training, agreeing on the Lunar New Year holiday of Binh Ngo 2026 for preschool education, general education and continuing education institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City students will have Tet holiday from February 12, 2026 (ie, December 25 of the year At Ty) to the end of February 22, 2026 (January 6 of the year Binh Ngo).

Thus, the total Tet Nguyen Dan 2026 holiday for students is 11 consecutive days, creating favorable conditions for students, teachers and parents to reunite with their families, travel and arrange activities during Tet.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also adjusted the New Year holiday in 2026.

Cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers at state administrative agencies and public non-business units will swap working days from Friday, January 2, 2026 to Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Thanks to that, during the 2026 New Year holiday, civil servants, public employees, workers and students in Ho Chi Minh City will have 4 consecutive days off, from Thursday, January 1, 2026 to the end of Sunday, January 4, 2026.
