The project also aims to train professional and amateur athletes, serving high-performance sports training, and at the same time meeting the physical training needs of people through an open sports system and public utilities.

In addition to its sports value, the complex is also oriented to combine the development of commercial - tourism - entertainment services, creating momentum to spread the economy of the eastern region of Ho Chi Minh City, forming a new cultural - sports - tourist destination of Ho Chi Minh City.

When completed, the project is expected to promote local economic development, increase investment and sports tourism attraction, contribute revenue to the state budget, and create more jobs, improve income and ensure social security for people in neighboring areas.

On January 15, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City will start construction of Metro Line No. 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong) more than 11 km long, connecting the city center area with the northwest gateway.
