On December 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that it is implementing adjustments in the organization of the grassroots health system, with the goal of bringing primary care services closer to the people.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will rearrange 38 regional Health Centers, including 168 Health Stations directly under the Department of Health, to form 168 Commune, Ward, and Special Zone Health Stations directly under the Commune-level People's Committee, expected to officially operate from January 1, 2026.

A university in Ho Chi Minh City plans to abolish the A00, C00 combination
In 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law is expected not to use the combination C00 (Literature, History, Geography), A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) for admission consideration.
According to the school, the Ministry of Education and Training requires the admission combination to include at least three subjects, compulsory for Math or Literature, and the common subjects of the combinations must have a weight of at least 50%. Therefore, the adjustment aims to ensure the above requirement.
